Bought a Mac recently and don’t have Snow Leopard? Fret not! But please note the following:
- This is an upgrade for Leopard users. For Tiger customers, you will need to buy Mac Box which will come with iLife ’09 and iWorks ’09 which is better value for money.
- You can choose to buy existing Leopard retail pack with Snow Leopard upgrade installer but the combined cost will be the same or more than Mac Box; which is pointless.
- Tiger customers cannot upgrade by just buying the upgrade kit as Leopard is still needed for the upgrade kit to install.
- For customers buying from 28th August onward, some new macs would have already have a “Drop in kit” in the box.
For customers that didn’t receive “Drop in kit” but bought on or after June 8, you can request for an “Up to date” kit by logging in to this site http://www.apple.com/asia/macosx/uptodate/ or download the following form:
